Locust Grove Middle School
Orange, Virginia

Completion: October 2010

Locust Grove Middle School recently received LEED Gold certification and is believed to be the first LEED Gold certified middle school in the Commonwealth of Virginia. This achievement is a testament to the tremendous coordinated efforts of the owner, architect, general contractor, and subcontractors. Kenbridge Construction is grateful to Orange County Public Schools and Moseley Architects for their efforts and for the opportunity to participate in this milestone project. High Street United Methodist Church

The new High Street United Methodist Church campus includes a 29,000 square foot 2-story church with a 450 seat sanctuary featuring ornate interior and exterior trim, handmade stained glass windows, and a state of the art sound system. The church also includes extensive education rooms, a fellowship hall with a production stage, a commercial kitchen, and an administrative wing. The campus also includes extensive landscaping, prayer gardens, playgrounds, columbariums, and other unique features.

Falmouth Elementary School
Falmouth, Virginia

Completion: May 2012

This project includes a media center addition of approximately 5,000 square feet as well as the complete renovation of the existing elementary school. Upgraded features include mechanical systems, fire protection, electrical systems, roofing, fenestration, interior finishes, site utilities, and parking areas. This project was contracted simultaneously with Stafford Elementary School. Upon completion of Falmouth, Kenbridge will immediately begin a similar project at Stafford Elementary. Since the projects were over budget, Kenbridge Construction participated in a comprehensive value engineering study that brought the construction costs within budget with minimal impact to the end users.

J. B. Watkins Elementary School Additions & Renovations

The three phases of this project include a new classroom wing addition, a new addition for music classrooms, a new main entry with covered walkway, and additions/renovations to the administrative area of the school. Maintaining student safety with minimal disruption to the educational experience will be paramount throughout this project as construction must occur in several different areas simultaneously to maintain the schedule.

The project includes a new, single-story skilled nursing facility. The construction includes wood framing, shingle roofing, membrane roofing, brick veneer, fiber cement siding, aluminum windows, and typical interior finishes. This is the fourth collaboration on a new facility between Kenbridge Construction and Smith/Packett Med-Com, LLC.
